The feature on Chef Ben Ford is particularly interesting (and I had the pleasure of interviewing him) from his days at Skywalker Ranch to opening his own Ford's Filling Station, to his ground breaking cookbook, "Taming the Feast: Ben Ford's Guide to Adventurous Cooking" (Atria Books, 2014) he is truly blazing his own trail. He says " I believe that authenticity & the care that go into making food are very important; the extra effort finds its way to the end result.
