Take a deep breath and enter cautiously... If you DARE!
Beware because this old haunted house holds terrors at every turn!
Not to mention witches, ghosts and goblins and mysteries and magic too!
This place has been here so long that trees now grow from the inside out,
and the sneaky ole blackbirds make themselves right at home, build their nests and hatch by the dozens!
These wicked little birds spend all day chirping and chattering to each other
they stay on high alert keeping a good look out
for poor lost spirits who might have been set adrift
and happened to wander in floating on the breeze!
Count to me one
and count to me two,
and some treats
made especially for you!
Long ago little boys and far away small girls
along with a few of their friends
eagerly await your visit
and hope against hope
that you have come to play with them!
Well... did you?!
Sometimes they all sit around the room in a great big seance circle telling scary stories and spooky jokes!
Yes, really they do! Like, Why was the skeleton afraid to cross the road?
He had no guts! Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha!
Or... Do zombies eat popcorn with their fingers?
No, they eat their fingers separately! He, He, He ,He, He!
How about this ole favorite, Why do vampires need mouthwash?
Cuz they have bat breath!
Oh wait and, How do you make a witch scratch? Just take away the W! BWaHaHaHa!
See, he laughed so hard he popped an eye ball out!
So along we go on with our tour, hey did you notice the guide has horns?!
And just to be sure you are gooood and friiiightened
of all that lurks in the shadows...
Eeek! Watch out!
Danger is rattling around every corner!
Remember if you feel something evil and eerie,
like maybe, just maybe you are being watched...
Well, you most probably ARE!
Even though this old decrepit place is over run with creepy and crawly things
that hide in the crevices and cracks in the ceiling,
and find fun and merriment in constantly scaring the pants off us
we love it all the same!
Now just to make sure I haven't scared you too much
and to be sure you leave here today with a smile on your face
and a song in your heart, I have one last trick or treat for you,
from the teeniest little ghostie and us too..HAPPY, HAPPY HALLOWEEN to ALL OF YOU!

I went for a walk
in my little green garden,
and lo and behold
guess what I found growing there
amongst the pumpkins and squash?!
Why I almost stepped on it!
I 'll bet you will never guess what it is?!
Well, I'll give you a few hints,
it has two metal screws protruding from it's neck,
and yukie, muckie, smishy, smashy pink goo popping out of the top
and cold hollow eyes that never ever blink and it's the color of kiwi all over!
Last but not least,
where ever it grows
there is the slightest sweet smell of bananas, yes bananas!
Ok, did you guess, maybe not, so in case you are still wondering what it is...
It's a mini monster and my garden is blooming with lots of them just waiting for Halloween to arrive!
So do mind your step whilst out wandering, you never know what might be just underfoot and you certainly wouldn't want to mash a cute little monster would you?!
All the Gory Details...
A hand sculpted bisque porcelain doll bust I painted bright green with acrylic paints and inserted two metal screws to keep it's head on tight. A pair of antique 6 button leather shoes just the right size for monster mashing! Its pretty pink "brains" are really nothing so bad, just a walnut painted pink, blue and red! I'm sure right about now you are thinking I have lost my last few marbles... but don't forget Halloween is just around the corner!
*So many of you have posed the question, Why bananas?! He, he, he I guess I just assumed that everyone already knew that teeny weeny mini monsters have to eat lots and lots of bananas in order to grow up into big, strong frightfully scary Mega Monsters!
