Where Women Create Magazine Giveaway!

The Winter issue of WHERE WOMEN CREATE magazine is a DREAM issue... it features some of my favorite and extremely inspirational artists!
Like the magical, Robin Brown of Magnolia Pearl fame, Maxwell Gillingham-Ryan of the fabulous blog Apartment Therapy thru which I have had the great honor of having my artwork featured and the Oh - So incredible Countess Isabelle de Borchgrave with her super mesmerizing paper costumes.
Oh yeah... and me! My little studio is featured and I am thrilled, I love writing the Creative Rituals column for WWC,
and so to have the opportunity to share my work space with you within these pages is all kinds of wonderful!
To me it is like entering another world and though it is not a very large room what it lacks in square footage it more than makes up for by providing considerable reverie...
by way of excruciatingly beautiful natural colors,
exquisite antique textures,
and a soothing atmosphere of my kind of mischievous chaos!
It is a place where past butterflies can gently rest on bright pink cheeks,
a place where earth and sea meet...
a place where aqua winged paper creatures roam (lots and lots of them)!
It is my magical room... where amethyst jewel ships sail,
and sail,
and sail on westward winds... I can go in and the ideas just start swirling.
I have a habit of keeping all sorts of gathered oddments that easily set me dreaming... when one dream has come to fruition another immediately begins to brew!
It has always been a dream of mine to be in WHERE WOMEN CREATE (my favorite bookazine), Thank You Jo for including me! I know this will become a highly coveted issue and most probably sell out so run and pick up a copy. I am holding a special magazine giveaway... so leave a comment to win a free copy! Whisper or scream... tell me what your biggest dream is, by stating it aloud for others to hear I feel it solidifies and helps to make it come true! I will pick a winner on November 25th and notify them by email. Good luck and see you soon!

I love your work, your spirit, your fun. Thank you for being an inspiration. I am soft spoken so I won't say this too loud, but my dream is to one day be able to find and except my artistic voice and let it sing, sing, sing! Thank you for the opportunity to win this magazine

Dear Sandra,

I thank you kindly for coming by to visit me and leaving word that you were by! I admire your art and have one of your books and love it so.

My first passion is writing, and I hope to one day do what you do. I would love to be a contributing artist and writer in an even larger forum and one of my goals is to be in WWC. Isabel de Borchgrave is my muse as well as Miss Clara, and I am happy to have received my first local job of window display design! I will be creating a paper wedding dress for a local bridal stationary shop and I am thrilled. I hope that with the hard work I have begun, I will be able to find myself one day in the great company of artists like you.

HAVE A CREATIVE WEEKEND! Anita

Dear Sandra,
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. I love and admire your blog and your work. Since I was a little girl I was always making things and still am and enjoying it. Think I have done it all in the craft line. Now I am making religious sachet pillows and other things. Just want to continue doing what I do for as long as my dear sweet Jesus allows me. Congratulations on being in the magazine and would love to be included in your give-a-way. Hugs...Lu

I have decided I want to start my own blog, so I went to the library and to get a "how-to blog" book and found "Blogging for Bliss" by Tara Frey, and found your blog in her book. I love your blog! And I understand your statement "I just might be an artist!" Aren't we artists funny girls? :-) I saw the last "Where Women Create" in Hobby Lobby a couple weeks ago, but couldn't get it, and went back to look at it this week, and it's no longer there. I'm guessing the new winter edition that is now featured in your blog this week will come out soon. I would appreciate it if you would put my name in the hat for the give-a-way. You can be sure I will continue to come look at your blog in the future! Thanks so much!

Im new to your blog recently but after seeing all your beautiful work, I can't wait to see where you work.

I have so many dreams. I want to actually start my art journal that's been laying on my desk now for a month. I would like to be a better painter through practice.

Mostly, just recently I've been researching an idea for a blog. I love to do all types of art and tend to hop from one to the next, though I hop back to previous ones as well. But I think it has a lot to do with all the new products and tools available. So my dream is to create a blog where I research and demonstrate the features of new (and old) products.
That's my dream
Thanks
Dena

Such a beauty this issue is!!!

I starting whispering my dream when I was nine years old - to someday live in a little home surrounded by forest, and spend my free time playing with art and crafts. To say it out loud, to dream about it over and over again, to begin to imagine and draw out each tiny detail... you are so very right about how it solidifies and helps to make it come true, because it has!
Congratulations on your feature, Sandra!!! It's always a joy to visit you here!

Where Woman Create is a staple in my studio. I snatched this copy up right away and enjoyed seeing your studio and work. Congratulations in being featured.

The first time I saw the first issue of Where Women Create, I cried. Silly really, but it warmed my heart to know that there were other women out there who valued their spaces and their work.
