Sandra, I am so happy you have a blog. I have all your books and quite a few stamps too. Your whimsical style is wonderful and I love that you share so much in your books. I may order that hair book from Amazon. Thanks for the tip.
I love this idea! Every time I opened one of those packages and got the plastic form I thought "maybe I can use this someday". I'm going to go find those now! I also love the clothes you dressed them up with. Yay for your blog!
Your creative eye is so on point no matter how small or large of a project. I wish you could create a city or a town that artist could live in. I would love to see your architecture. Maybe even rearranging the planets and stars. I would love to see what you would do with those!
There was a single specific moment in time when it struck me, " I just might be an artist!" And I must admit it was quite a relief. This explains everything, it all makes perfect sense now! Those frantic urges to quickly search out paper and pen, a lack of attention for the ordinary and mundane but endless patience and diligence for anything frivolous or whimsical!
Then there are those impulses bordering on near obsession with all things quirky and impractical. As my squirreled away misfit collections of the odd and interesting grew so did the desire to create, the two traveled happily hand in hand. I have always admired my sisters beautiful singing voice, although I try, I can't sing a note. I do however sing through my art! I am a contributing artist, designer and writer to Where Women Create, Where Women Cook, Somerset Life, Romantic Homes, Somerset Studio, Artful Blogging and various other magazines. I've authored several books including Fanciful Paper Projects and most recent Fanciful Paper Flowers. Stampington & Company has recently released my fourth line of rubber stamps.
