Excessive design that is in a word profound.
An amplified profusion of protrusions.
Nubby nodules and incredible crevasses seemingly painstakingly stitched, one by one by hand.
Alien at first glance, urchin by proper definition.
Deeply alluring salt water gems that lurk beneath the waves resting upon the ocean floor elicit no phony emotion,
only raw appreciation and authentic admiration.
Specimens that defy explanation….
but then, is explanation really necessary?!

Exquisite Details…Mini, Micro, Macro
Don't overlook something incredible….
Just because its small.
Do not be bound by practical convention
that often dictates bigger is better….
True wisdom is seeing things others may miss.
Like a minuscule ship setting sails on the high seas…. yet held in the palm of a hand.
Creating is as essential as breathing, eating and drinking. Do a little every day and you'll be a happier person!

Je suis ce que je suis
I am what I am. I find it when I run…. It flows through me when I create and is translated into something others can see and feel.
It is apparent when I cook and share the feast with the people and pets I love.
It shows up when I need it most and comforts me….
With each passing day I discover new aspects of it and am thankful to continue learning….
Just as I should be….
Be passionate about your life, your work and living each day to its fullest!

Reflect the Light!
I have been collecting antique chandelier crystals for many years….
All shapes and sizes. I've always just kept these sparkling "frozen water droplets" scattered around my studio in a variety of found containers.
Something pretty to reflect the sunlight coming in my window.
I gathered together some heavy duty wire and tiny, thin wire too (always have lots and lots of wire around) seems like I need and use wire for everything!
And some old brass bricolage I had stashed away, waiting for just the right project to become a part of.
Used a trusted pair of leather gloves, wire cutters and my worn out old pliers
to twist together this wonky yet elegant bobble. Wanted this piece to have the look and feel
of something weirdly whimsical, a bit Dr. Seussish, a little off kilter! I am in love with the results!

Last year I finally decided to do something fun with them, I had the thought to create a light catcher of sorts.

To quote the man himself: "We are all a little weird and Life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, We join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it Love." ~ Dr. Seuss
